Our support for health-related services extends to covering critical care medical costs, preventive
diagnostic testing at a community level, and emergency care.
Pilot Project:
Cancer Treatment
A young woman of just thirty, the diagnosis of breast cancer came a shock to this grantee. It was
caught early, but the family lacked the financial resources to further treatment. The grantee’s
husband is employed as an assistant in a retail shop, and makes less than Rs 3000 a month. Our
grant covers costs of diagnostics and associated costs with treatment at a local public hospital.
