Education
Within this focus area, we offer direct financial support covering tuition, supplies, uniforms,
and any other education related expenditure for primary and secondary level schooling. We also
aid in meeting the costs of professional development and graduate level courses.
Projects:
AFES, Jammu
The Ath Rott Foundation Educational Scholarships (AFES) - The principals of five schools in Jammu have
identified approximately 300 students from different communities in need of scholarships to support
tuition, books and other education related expenditures. Most of these children live in camps, which
have arisen as a result of displacement from the Kashmir valley.
AFES, Vanavil
The Vanvil Community School is located in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, one of the most affected areas from
the Tsunami. The school was at a point where it was struggling to house, clothe and teach nearly 150
children that it had continuously supported since the Tsunami. The Ath Rott Foundation identified the
school as an ideal pilot project and has offered financial support that has enabled the school to survive.
